It is important to keep your ophthalmic instruments well-maintained in order to provide your patients with the highest level of professional service. These instruments need to be periodically cleaned, adjusted, and lubricated to ensure accuracy and reliability. We suggest that you opt for regular lane care service every 12 to 24 months to keep your instruments in top condition. When was the last time your instruments received service?
Services included:
Exam Chair: Check for proper operation, adjust and lubricate swivel, tilt, arm, and headrest locks as necessary. Check fluid level. Clean and disinfect surface areas.
Instrument Stand: Clean, lubricate, and adjust arms, locks, and bearings as required. Verify correct voltage and operation of charging wells. Clean and disinfect surface areas.
Phoropter: Disassemble, clean optics, lubricate bearings, and adjust as required. Disinfect and clean all knobs and surface areas.
Slit Lamp: Clean external optics and disinfect surface areas. Check optical alignment and adjust as needed. Check the alignment of apertures and filters. Clean, lubricate, and adjust bearings, gears, and rails. Verify voltage outputs. Clean, adjust, lubricate, and level the slit lamp table to eliminate that annoying wobble!
Goldmann Tonometer: Check the mount and adjust as needed to properly orient the prism. Inspect and disinfect prism tip and surface areas. Verify the correct pressure readings of 0, 20, and 60 mmHg.
Digital Acuity Chart: Check for correct optotype sizing and adjust if needed. Clean the screen and verify that the mounting system is secure. Or Bulb Projector: Clean optics and slide. Clean the mirror and condensing lens, and check the bulb housing. Check chart calibration for accuracy and adjust if required. Clean and adjust mirrors and screens as needed.
Ophthalmoscope/Retinoscope: Clean external optics and disinfect surface areas. Check handles for proper battery charge and clean contacts.
Binocular Indirect Ophthalmoscope: Clean external optics and check the optical path. Disinfect surfaces and check illumination output. Pads can be replaced at an extra cost.
